On Wednesday September 12th, while everyone was in a panic preparing for what was supposed to be Storm of the Century, I took this picture on the way to work.

It reminded me of the promise that God made after the great flood and Noah’s Ark.

In the Book of Genesis, God made a promise that he would never destroy all of mankind with a flood of that magnitude again. Does this mean that people won’t die during floods that can occur during hurricanes, earthquakes, and other natural disasters? No. But seeing that rainbow was so reassuring to me, and helped remind me of my faith in the Almighty.

So I wasn’t going to worry and I actually felt really good in my heart.

What an awesome God we serve!
